The Inner Writer

This program is a creative incentive designed to engage and enhance participants socially, emotionally and creatively through the development and exploration of “The Inner Writer”.

The inner writer is a gifted part of oneself that can facilitate any emotional state and creatively give one the language to critique and celebrate society and one’s place in it.

Writing is an ancient art form that has been key in human development since Ancient Egypt, it was an essential feature for the documentation and the passing on of knowledge. Since the inception of writing, those who write have been key communicators of any society they are a part of.

For example, Shakespeare is known as one the most important in history by many, his skill for writing has established himself as a great in the development of human consciousness, social commentary and documentation.

These skills exist in people today and tapping into ourselves allows one to align oneself with the mastery of this skill. This is what tapping in to “The Inner Writer” is about.

By the end of the program participants will have the “know-how” to write and perform creatively, giving them the tools to access writing and performance opportunities and thrive in doing so, developing their mastery of words and their mastery of themselves.

This program is a 4-session programme with each session lasting an hour and a half. Extensions can be negotiated.

Aim

The aim of this programme is to challenge today’s mainstream way of teaching and show how writing creatively can unlock someone’s emotional, spiritual and social intelligence in ways mainstream education displays it’s rarely capable of. In turn making teaching and learning an immersive experience that develops not only how one can use creative tools but also how this can enrich one’s skill, competence, confidence and knowledge of self. As a result, opening up participants to improving their self-efficacy and helping to establish or further establish that they have something of extreme value to offer their immediate circles/community, society and even more so the world.
